Cornell Oliver

Senior – Guard

5’11 – 185

2018-19 Preview: Cornell is a powerful scoring guard who is a threat from the outside or inside. Not only can he score in high quantities, he can also create for his teammates. Defenders are forced to play him honest which opens up lanes for his teammates. He has improved his post game this season and has been a deadly threat from anywhere around the basket. As a football player, Cornell is strong and aggressive both on offense and defense. He enjoys playing defense and causing chaos by being an active defender and communicating well to his teammates. When it comes to clutch shots, Nelly is a go to player who will not shy away from taking and making the shot. He shows his leadership qualities in many ways. Coaches are looking to Nelly to be a leader with the second rotation who will play a big part of the success the Wildcats have this season.

Past Seasons: Cornell is entering his second season on the varsity level. On junior varsity his sophomore season, he averaged almost 30 points per game off the bench.
