2019-20 Preview: Jashawn is a veteran, versatile athletic wing. He is known as a two-way player who can get it done on the defensive end by guarding the best player on the other team and grabbing every rebound in his vicinity as well as getting it done on the offensive end by scoring well around the basket or with his jump shot and making himself valuable by being able to play multiple positions within the offense. Jashawn is a three-sport athlete who gets it done within the athletic realm as well as in the classroom. He is looked upon as an academic leader within the basketball program. Jashawn’s leadership will be an important aspect of the success of this team this season.
Past Seasons: Jashawn is entering his second season on the varsity level. His freshmen year, he split time as on both the freshmen and junior varsity teams where he was a dominant player. Last season as a sophomore, he started the season on JV but was quickly moved up to varsity after a few games. His ability to positively affect the game earned Jashawn a lot of minutes on varsity. He appeared in 19 games, starting 5 of those games and averaged 5.5 points shooting almost 50% from the floor and 4.5 rebounds per game last season.
Personal: Jashawn was born on 10/18/2002. He attended Story Middle School where he played for Coach Johnson. Jashawn favorite subject in school is Earth Science with Ms. Kozlicki. His favorite NBA player is Jason Tatum of the Boston Celtics and his favorite food is of course, chicken nuggets!
