9/11 – Fall Leagues
The varsity basketball team will begin competing in Brookfield Central’s Fall League beginning October 6th against Waukesha South and MSL. 2 games will be played every Sunday for 5 weeks at all Brookfield Central. See the full fall league schedule HERE.
10/14 – Grades

11/12 – Former Wildcat Outstanding Debut
Former Hamilton basketball player, Equon Ards, had a breakout performance at his new school, UW-Whitewater on Tuesday night. The Warhawks defeated MSOE in Milwaukee, largely due to Ards pouring in 30 points on 10-17 shooting and going 10-11 from the free throw line. You can read the full story HERE.
11/22 – The Wildcats Visit Fiserv Forum and the Milwaukee Bucks
The Wildcats teamed up with the Running Rebels to participate in a conference that allowed young student athletes to learn about jobs they can be employed in within sports outside of actually playing. The varsity team enjoyed a catered dinner and then were introduced to multiple Buck’s employees who provided the team with their stories about how they got into their careers and what it is exactly they they do on a daily basis. In addition to their informative sessions with young professionals, the team got to tour the new Fiserv Forum including luxury suites, executive clubs, the Buck’s team locker room, media room, and the game floor.
11/29 – JV2 Sets the Bar
JV2 tipped off the Hamilton Basketball program’s season on Friday with a 43-36 win over Marquette High School. The Wildcats were led by freshman, Abdullah Konneh and his 21 points. Coach Brokmeier was impressed with his team’s defensive intensity and boxing out. JV1 and Varsity look to ride the wave with their season openers on Saturday. JV1 faces Racine Case at South Division at 5pm and the varsity face Carmen NW at Brown Deer High School at 10:15am.
11/30 – Varsity Starts the Season With a Victory
The varsity team opened their season against Carmen NW High School at the Fresh Coast Classic at Brown Deer High School on Saturday morning. They were victorious, coming out with a 82-69 victory. The Wildcats were led by junior guard Jashawn Forester‘s 22 points and 5 rebounds off the bench. He shot 10-12 from the floor and knocked down both of his free throws while bringing energy and veteran leadership when he came into the game. The Wildcats had 4 players in double figures: Jashawn’s 22, senior guard Terrion Oliver‘s 18, senior guard Derrick Ousley‘s 15, and junior guard J’Len Johnson‘s 11. The Wildcats will be back at Brown Deer High School on 12/4 to face Brown Deer High School. JV2 and JV1 will start the night beginning at 4pm.
11/30 – Scholarship Awarded to Noah Huff
Senior guard Noah Huff was awarded a $500 scholarship for academic excellence from the Fresh Coast Classic Committee on Saturday during the halftime of the Carmen NW game. Noah has earned a 3.5 cumulative GPA while at Hamilton and is still considering his options for college. UW-Whitewater and Carthage College are two of his top choices.
12/2 – Big Wins from JV1 & JV2 on Monday
The Wildcat’s JV1 & JV2 teams traveled to Brookfield Academy on Monday. JV2 started the night off strong, leading at halftime 29-2. Kiyarione Carter led JV2 with 14 points and pushed the Wildcats to a 50-12 victory. JV1 follow this game and were led by Antwon Coney’s 12 points and 6 steals in their 71-18 win. Both teams are back in action with varsity on Wednesday against Brown Deer at Brown Deer. JV2 gets the night started at 4:00pm on 12/4. Tickets can be purchased at the door and any student looking to attend must have a valid school id to enter.
12/12 – Special Olympics
The varsity basketball team volunteered at their second special olympics event of the year on Thursday. In late October, there was a day of bowling at Bowlero Lanes in Wauwatosa that the team was involved with. Today, a variety of games came to Hamilton where the team was engaged with the special olympic participants.
12/12 – JV2 Victory
The JV2 team was victorious tonight against Central City Cyber School. It was a back and forward battle throughout the game. The Wildcats trailed at halftime 14-16, but a strong push from Antwon Coney, Kiyarione Carter, and Adbullah Konneh early in the second half gave Hamilton the edge and gave them the 51-43 victory. They were led by Adbullah Konneh with 16 points and Antwon Coney‘s 12 points. Their next game is Saturday 14th against Golda Meir at Carmen Northwest at 3:15pm.

12/13 – Varsity Stays Hot
The varsity team improved their record to 3-1 Friday night following their convincing victory against St. John’s Military Academy (2-2) at Washington High School’s Ron Glassor Classic. After a slow start to the game, the Wildcats took the lead after a Terrion Oliver steal, lay up plus the foul giving them a 11-10 lead. The Wildcats led the rest of the game, winning 81-64. They were led by senior guard Terrion Oliver‘s 24 points and 8 assists, senior guard Derrick Ousley‘s near triple double – 11 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists, and sophomore forward Josiah Gillie‘s 21 points and 13 rebounds.
12/15 – December Athlete of the Month
Congratulations to Terrion Oliver for being nominated and selected as the December Athlete of the Month. Terrion has led the Wildcat Boys Basketball team to a 3-1 start this season. He is a 4 Year Varsity letter winner who brings a great deal of experience and leadership to the team. He is averaging 21 points and 4 assists per game. Terrion has worked hard to improve his grades and currently has a 3.1 GPA. Keep up the great work!
12/16 – Milwaukee Buck’s Leadership Day / MATC Tour
Members of the Hamilton Athletic Leadership Counsel visited the Fiserv Forum Monday for a conference on leadership skills. Hamilton Basketball was represented by Jashawn Forester, Josiah Gillie, and J’Len Johnson. At were guest speakers, breakout sessions, photo opportunities for groups on the Buck’s home floor. Students learned about becoming better leaders within their schools and communities while also listening to speakers from the Buck’s organization who spoke about their journeys and roles within the organization as well as a motivational speaker who speak about his struggle with drugs and alcohol and how this has shaped his life today.
Once the conference concluded, the group walked across the street to MATC for a private tour of the campus. They learned about all of the different programs MATC has to offer and why a technical school is often the best option for a lot of high school graduates. Once the tour ended, the group headed to Qdoba and then to the Bucks game against the Dallas Mavericks.
12/17 – Donte Jackson Presented with Outstanding Achievement Award
Hamilton Basketball was proud to present Hamilton alumnus Donte Jackson with an Outstanding Achievement Award on Tuesday for his success as a Division-I men’s basketball coach. Coach Jackson graduated from Hamilton in 1997 where he played for legendary coach, Jim Jones. From there, he went on to play at UWM and Central State University. Coach Jackson began his head coaching career in 2010 at Central State and has been the head coach at Grambling State University in Louisiana since 2017.
GSU plays Marquette tonight at Fisevr Forum so Hamilton Basketball took advantage of the team being in town by inviting them to Hamilton for the presentation. The entire GSU Men’s Basketball Program was in attendance to see their coach receive his award. Hamilton boys and girls basketball teams were also in attendance to take in words of wisdom from Coach Jackson and they were also able to ask the GSU players about life as a college student athlete.
Hamilton Basketball would like to wish Grambling State good luck tonight against Marquette and would also like to express how proud they are to have Coach Jackson representing Hamilton High School.

12/17 – Marquette Game after GSU’s Visit to Hamilton
Marquette University Men’s Basketball gifted Hamilton Basketball with free tickets to their game against Grambling State University Tuesday night for the second year in a row. This followed a visit from Grambling State’s Men’s Basketball team to Hamilton earlier in the day where GSU’s head coach Donte Jackson, who is Hamilton alumni, was presented with an Achievement Award. Hamilton Basketball would like to thank Marquette Men’s Basketball for the tickets and Grambling State and Coach Jackson for taking the time out to visit Hamilton.
12/20 – Final Grades

1/08 – First Home Game, A 39 Point Victory / Best Player Intros in High School Basketball
The Wildcats hosted their first home game of the season last night and brought home the win with a 93-54 victory over SCTE. The Wildcats also got to show off their state of the art pregame player intros as well.
1/23 – Varsity Winning Streak
The varsity team extended their winning streak to 7 games tonight with a 65-54 victory against South Division. This game was actually their close game during the streak; the wildcats have been winning by more than 32 points per game! The streak began back on January 2nd with a 36-point win against Steel City in Hammond, Indiana. They have extended their overall record to 10-3 and are undefeated in conference (6-0) and are tied for 1st place. Seniors Derrick Oulsey & Terrion Oliver have led the team in scoring while Junior Josiah Gillie has led the team in rebounding and field goal percentage.

2/22 – Wildcats Receive #8 Seed in WIAA Tournament
The varsity will received a #8 Seed for the upcoming WIAA State Tournament. They will be facing the #9 seed, Kenosha Indian Trail at Hamilton on Friday, March 6th. If the Wildcats win, they will face Racine Case on Saturday the 7th for the Regional Championship and earn a trip to sectionals.
2/29 – ALL CONFERENCE AWARDS
Congratulations to Terrion Oliver, Josiah Gillie, and Jashawn Forester on their All-Conference selections. Terrion and Josiah earned first team honors while Jashawn earned a 2nd team bid. This is Terrion’s second All-Conference selection. He was selected to the 2nd Team his junior year in 2018-19. This season, Terrion even received a few Player of the Year votes being one of the top scorers in the Conference, averaging over 20 points and 4 assists per game. Coach Bell has had the honor to coach 8 All-Conference players in his 3 years at Hamilton.
3/06 – Wildcats Season Over
The Wildcats finished their season tonight with a 66-87 loss to Kenosha Indian Trail at Hamilton. The Wildcats finished up with the most successful season under Coach Bell and one of the most successful seasons both athletically and academically in recent history at Hamilton. The team finished 15-8 overall and 10-2 in conference where they earned 2nd Place in the City Conference.
